Embark on A Heroic Health Quest To Unleash the Hero Within

This is NOT about learning concepts to juggle in your head or memorizing workout programs or recipes. This experience is designed for you to embody powerful practical wisdom through engaging daily lessons, precise action steps, riveting comfort zone challenges, and laser-focused daily journal exercises. Here is an overview of what you get when you sign up.

Once you have accepted the Heroic Health Quest challenge and signed up you will have immediate access to the entire course. The course is structured in a way that you will have daily lesson to complete. Total time for the lessons very but on average you will need to commit to approximately 10-15 minutes daily. The total length of the course, if done as recommended, will take any where from 6 to 42 weeks (the length of the courses, except for HHQ Core, may change). At the conclusion of the course you will have the tools and skills to pursue additional challenges with the confidence and the courage that only comes from knowing the path to success.

Everyone has a natural resistance to and fear of what they do not know, and even more so, for what cannot be known. It takes a great deal of courage and faith to accept what is yet to be known, and surrender to living into it, rather than anxiously trying to control it. In this stage, destiny summons us towards a call, and we must learn to transfer our centre of gravity from what is known to now being pulled towards a territory that is unknown, where adventure – the possibility for illumination as well as devastation – awaits. Any meaningful journey requires a fateful separation from what is familiar and most known to us, often seemingly against the ego’s wishes, and takes us across a threshold to an unknown territory where trials and ordeals bring forth what is latent and awaiting, within us. You courageously stand and accept the challenge. Today is the day.

It takes a great deal of courage and faith to accept what is yet to be known, and surrender to living into it, rather than anxiously trying to control it – or attempt to revert back to a familiar path that is no longer there, or no longer works. Deepening of the struggles as a result of entering the unknown. It is a strength to accept the unknown as it comes, to let it bring forth the trials that test your character, and bring forth what is unknown from within you.

This is were you put into action the main concepts of health: exercise, nutrition and recovery. Implement the daily plan to move forward with your health in these areas.

part 3- the return (celebration)

Upon the return, the responsibility remains to bring forth what is of value, and to not let it be wasted or withered within, due to excessive self interest or self concern.  Share you knowledge and experiences of your health experiences with others. The ultimate aim is to be of service to one’s community, which is the true joy in life – entering into the psychic territory of interconnectedness, where the role of the giver and the role of the receiver become indistinguishable.

What Makes These Courses Unique and Valuable

The path to creating these courses has for me, been an heroic quest. With a number of versions created and shelved for various reasons. It didn't seem like it was the work I was meant to share. I created a course focused on exercise, shelved it, on nutrition also shelved it. There were a number of courses already on those topics, extremely good courses.

There are literally hundreds if not thousands of courses on the market yet there is still a very high rate of people not achieving their goals. It wasn't a lack of information, most people generally know what they should be doing whether it's working out or knowing what they should or should not eat. They gave up, it was hard work, it wasn't fun etc.

These courses are meant to have you work on mindset and behaviours. Be prepared for those days that you don't "feel like it". Learn that days like this are normal, but how you deal with it is what will set you apart. From their you will build consistency, days turn into weeks, weeks into months, months into years.

Learn to establish what important and make it a priority.

Learn to handle obstacles and face your dragons.

Learn to take action and build behaviours.

Using the theme of the Hero's Journey you accept the challenge, face the challenge, return from the quest with valuable lessons learned.

Combine these courses with your favourite workout program or nutrition plan and it will be like you've gained super powers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I miss a day?

No worries. Progress at your own pace but keep in mind the intent of the course is to build upon the previous days work. As you progress through the course check off the days lesson.

What if I already have a nutrition plan?

That's perfectly fine. The Heroic Health Quest core course will improve your mindset and consistency with your existing nutrition plan.

What if I don't have a nutrition plan?

You have a few options. If you've tried a nutrition plan before dust it off and plug it into the core module. If you have a program your looking at try it out. I am currently working on a nutrition program that will seamlessly plug into the core module and expand  your Heroic Health Quest.

What if I have an exercise program already?

Plug that into your daily carpe diem journal and keep track of the duration and consistency.

What if I don't have an exercise program?

Dig out an old workout program or search for new one. The Heroic Health Quest will be offering a workout program that will seamlessly plug into the Heroic Health Quest core course.

Are there any other courses available?

Not at this time. There are plans to create the following:

Heroic Health Quest Recovery course. This course will focus on sleep, meditation, and mindfulness.

Heroic Health Quest Nutrition course. This course will focus on building healthy nutrition habits and incorporating strategies that will almost guarantee success.

Heroic Health Quest Exercise course. This course will teach you the most important part of any exercise program - consistency. Plus we will cover some controversial methods with proven success.

I am currently working on an expanded Heroic Health Quest Ultimate which will include: Recovery, Nutrition and Exercise in the Initiation stage. Each section will be a minimum of 2 weeks likely 4 weeks. Bringing the entire course up to 18 weeks of daily lessons. Stay tuned.

I'm still confused on what this course is.

I wanted to create a course(s) that were engaging, so I decided to follow the outline of the hero's journey. Broken into three parts:

1. Separation. Here we go through exercises to help build our confidence as we embark on our own unique health quest. Laying the foundation to build upon.

2. Initiation. This is all about taking action, you choose the main area of health you won't to work on and it gets incorporated into the daily routine.

3. The Return - Celebrate and Share. Appreciate what you have accomplished. Often we get we beat ourselves up comparing where we are to others and miss how far we have come. Celebrate with gratitude.

About the Course Creator, Randall Heslip

Randall Heslip began his physical actively growing up on a farm in rural Alberta. By the age of ten he was drawn to physical fitness and began weight training. The size and strength he gained helped him excel in sports such as rugby and hockey. At the age of 19 he became a professional wrestler and wrestled for Stampede Wrestling, CanAm Wrestling plus a few WWF matches. 

His competitive nature brought him to compete in arm wrestling and power lifting. Highlights include setting a Canadian Junior deadlift record in the 198 class and later winning the Western Canadian Heavyweight Championships.

He has collected a number of certifications in personal training, nutrition, NLP and CBT.

Perhaps his greatest achievement in health and fitness has been his consistency, with over 40 years of weight training experience.
